wrap skirt

I like to stay current with trends, but I do not consider myself a trendy person.  When I purchase clothing I like to stick with shapes, silhouettes, and colors that will last more than one season. This skirt was a little bit of a risk for me. I don't usually do minis, (the booty in the back... hello, never works out too well) but for some reason I really loved the shape of this one. And the fact that it had a higher waistline didn't hurt either. Anything high waisted is my BFF. A high waistline provides coverage while giving off the illusion your legs are longer than they really are. Who doesn't want supermodel legs? Ya, that's what I thought (Mine most definitely are not, but KIND OF in a size 12/14 way?).

Even though the shape of the skirt may be trendy, the color and texture would make it work for seasons to come. On a hot summer day I would totally pair this with a white tank and flat strappy sandals. For this look I stuck with a poppy floral print shirt and simple black pumps. A red lip, sparkly necklace, and patterned clutch finished off the look with ease.
