Gingham and Gold

If you were to take a peek into my closet you would probably notice how many striped tops I own. Second to that would be gingham. I'm not sure what it is but it I love that it's a classic print but still feels modern and fresh. I guess it all depends on how you style it. The bell sleeves on this one from Madewell are to die for. I spotted those sleeves from the front of the store. This goes back to what I was talking about in my last post. It's those little details that make a top so much more fun to wear. In comes the jeans. These are definitely not the norm for me. But I saw them and I loved them. This style from Madewell fits me really well and I thought why not? Everyone needs a fun pair of denim on their closet. Although they aren't your basic everyday style, they can be treated as just that. Throw them on and go. These will definitely be my "summer jeans".

If you were to take a look at my shoe wall another thing you would notice is how many gold heels, flats and sandals I own. A gold shoe to me, is just as versatile as a black. And I continue to buy them because I know I'll wear them. Every darn day.

I often hear friemds or family I'm shopping with say, "I already own a striped shirt/white shirt/etc.". My question to them is if they wear it? If they do. And if they wear it often. I tell them to buy another. When you love something, buy it in multiples. At least you know it will get worn. Stripes, gingham, gold... whatever your go-to pieces are, you can never have enough of those.
