I couldn’t decide which look to do for B. Jones #springspreeofstyle so I just did both. Lol.

When I think of spring I think of COLOR, maybe even little more so than summer. It’s a time when things start blooming and things get fresh. So of course it’s when I start pulling out all the colors in my closet. I also think of dresses. Pretty spring colorful dresses. They’re easy, effortless and the styling options are endless.

I love how these two looks turned out. The accessories really bring out the colors, prints, and style of the dress.

For the green dress, which is a vintage Leslie Fay (I have quite a few of her pieces) I really wanted to play up the color and paired it with a earring in the same tone. A little color blocking situation. And I totally forgot I had this slime green basketweave purse that I found this past summer while thrifting in Michigan. Right when I saw it in the back of my closet I knew it would also play into the color blocking situation. I added my white mules for more of a spring flair.

With the plaid dress, I really wanted to play up the shape by belting it. And the sleeves are just to die for. Another vintage piece I fell in love with. I took the blue belt from another vintage dress I recently thrifted and I love the way it brings out the blues in the plaid and cinches in my waist. The straw bag was another one I forgot I had hiding in my closet. I had put all my summer purses away this fall and I’m so glad I remembered them. It’s like having a whole new purse collection. Ha! And of course my woven Jeffrey Campbell heels were the perfect addition to this combo.

I can’t wait to style these two dresses up in more way this spring and summer!
