I had set this shirt aside in my closet knowing i wanted to style it but i couldn't thing of ANYTHING. While laying in bed i decided to jump on pinterest, and look for some inspiration. Bad idea to pinterest before bed (i ended staying up an extra two hours i should't have). But good idea, because i found this pin and was lead to some inspiration alas!
I love how this outfit turned out. And all i had to do was shop my own closet. No purchase necessary. I feel the accessories are what really make this look. The belt which is one of my all time favorite thrifting finds adds a pop of unexpected color, the necklace brings a little bit of a funky feel to the look, and the sunnies were such a good find at Kohl's (i love how the have a very Karen Walker look). That's always the best, when you see an outfit you love on someone else or in the store, and can walk right into your closet and make your own version.
I wore this outfit for my usual half-off Wednesday Salvation Army thrifting, and lunch downtown with my man and a friend from church. This look would even work for a casual weekend party, church on Sunday, or for a casual/creative work environment. Ladies find some inspiration out there and go shop your closet to see what you can create!
