Dress - Cynthia Rowley, Necklace - TJMaxx, Heels - BCBGeneration,
Purse - Kate Spade, Bracelets - Thrifted
I fell in love with this dress the moment i saw it. I know it doesn't seem like anything special, but to me it is. Let me tell you why... it's super soft, the color is perfect for fall and winter, i love the pleats and how it cinches in at the perfect spot on my body, the leather detail on the shoulder is so simple but it adds a little something extra, and it is the perfect blank canvas to take it in any direction.
When i shop for new pieces that's something i always look for, a piece that can make a statement on it own or can easily be transitioned to many different looks and or seasons. No matter if i am spending 20 dollars on a dress or 200 i like to make sure it will be something i can wear many times. But it's always better to invest in one well made, and a little more expensive piece that you know you will wear many times, than a lot of cheaper and cheaply made items that will fall apart after one wear. I like to consider myself a "smart" shopper :)
This time around i chose a more funky glam theme. This necklace was the perfect pop of color against the dark dress, very unexpected. I wanted to keep the rest of the look pretty simple to show off the dress, so i just added my fav gold strappy heels, and kate spade envelope purse. This was the perfect look for our friends wedding day. I cant wait to wear this with tights, black booties, and a black blazer or leather jacket in the winter. Oh, the possibilities!
