When it comes to summer dressing for me, the more simple the better. It gets SUPER hot here in Florida and I almost wish I could run around naked. But then that means I wouldn't get to wear cute clothes. Dresses and skirts are always my number one choice when the temps start to rise. This look is one I know I will be wearing a lot this summer. This skirt actually used to be a dress, but I no longer liked how it looked on and I knew I would wear it a lot more if it was a skirt. I took it to my seamstress and she worked her magic. I absolutely love it now! For a gal on a budget I highly recommend having a seamstress re-work some of the clothing you already have in your closet that you no longer wear but can't seem to get rid of. I wore the dress (now skirt) for our engagement photos and was a little bit attached to it. Now I have a brand new skirt for a quarter of the price if I had bought it at the mall. Tan sandals and a tan tote completed the look. I added a printed scarf to the tote to bring some color in. This is another way to very easily re-vamp an old purse. Just tie a cute scarf around the handle and it instantly cheers it up. Old can always be new.
