transitional dressing

Although it feels like summer just started I know the first day of fall is just around the corner. And I really realllyyyy cannot wait. I can't wait to be able to walk outside and not have sweat drip down my back instantly. And I can't wait to be able to enjoy outdoor activities again. Oh, Florida.

While we are in the transition of summer to fall, this is a perfect look for dressing appropriately for the heat, and wanting to incorporate some layers. A great striped summer dress is instantly made more "fall like" with a vest added. A pair of open toe tan booties, also help the look become more fall ready. A tan tote and very minimal jewelry (just a necklace here) complete the look.

I love how this striped dress can accommodate all different seasons. Worn alone in the summer with strappy sandals, a vest and open toe booties in the (early) fall, a chunky sweater and tights in the winter, and for spring - flats and a denim jacket. This would definitely be a great piece for any woman to have in her closet.

Another great piece to have in your wardrobe for each different season is a vest, similar to this one. A vest like this can instantly make any look that much more chic and pulled together. Worn like

I did here, or paired with jeans, a sweater, and flats for a cooler day, it really can take you from summer to fall, to winter, to spring.

So... a striped dress, and a vest. Go get them now! It's Friday and you need a little retail therapy, right?
